ANSYS Hall's Simulation and Undergraduate Maker Center, designed by architects Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, is located within the heart of CMU's College of Engineering and will work in combination with the adjacent Maker Wing in Hamerschlag Hall and Scott Hall's Nanofab Lab.
The four-story building provides 36,000sf of large-scale prototype manufacturing facilities for projects such as solar-powered boats and race cars, as well as providing space for students to showcase their constructed work. The building also includes classrooms, student areas for individual project collaboration, space for simulation and training, as well as offices for the College of Engineering.
